TRADE DEADLINE PASSES
And the AL West is substantively unchanged.

Comments:
The Angels made the best move they could have: none. I've been happy with Stoneman's conservative approach over the last two years. Why mess with success? Aren't they 19-6 in July and the bats are heating up? Juan Rivera has an OPS of .918 as I write this, which is close to Alfonso Soriano's .945, and Howie Kendrick is finally hitting in the majors.

The unmentioned surprise is Macier Izturis, who has quietly produced.

Now if Mike Napoli can only rediscover his stroke, we should be all set. Anything from Kendry Morales or Casey Kotchman will only be a bonus.

Great blog--I've been reading it for a couple months now.
