YOUR TEARS WON'T BRING HIM BACK
Everyone in the Halosphere has picked up on the silliness that is Ramon Ortiz's agent. Did you know that, even with Ortiz's recent success and John Lackey's recent meltdown, Lackey still has the better ERA? Not to mention he's much younger, and actually (occasionally) shows glimpses of success ...
... I wouldn't be heartbroken if Ortiz did take Lackey's place in the short-term, if this did help Lackey get his mechanics back in order. We all seem to assume that Ortiz will fill in for Lackey when he serves hisfive-game one-game suspension, and this will be a big test for Ramon.
Otherwise, Ortiz's agent is just working for his client, which is understandable, though he doesn't have much to work with.
Sean's also on the case, and Rob uses the story to spawn an idea. With any luck, Richard might chime in with another visual aid.

Comments:
I wonder, are appeals still decided the next time the team in question goes to New York? If so, we wouldn't see that spot start by Ortiz until after the All-Star Break. It's also possible that Lackey is just using the time-honored practice of appealing his suspension only to drop it the day following a start, which would allow him to surve his suspension and start on his first night back, effectively pushing a start back one day.
