If they do this, I hope he gets hurt. I don't even like to say that about guys on other teams, but if the Angels sign Finley, I hope he has a career ending injury in spring training. And I'm dead serious.
He dropped the salary to $7-8 million per. No one else really seems to have this scoop (not even saying "Ken Rosenthal is reporting..."), so I am temporarily suspicious. If it is for $7-8 million for two years, it is not that bad, as it leaves them with a lot of flexibility.
At $1 per year it's bad. Finley is brutal in the outfield. Seeing as how they're going to be too stupid to put Erstad where he belongs, I'd rather they put Figgins in center and signed a shortstop. If Finley was paying the Angels $10MM per year to play center field it wouldn't be worth it.
